A classic battle between air and sea was decided by some land-based intruders when a group of Canadian fish farmers rescued a bald eagle from the clutches of an octopus off the coast of northern Vancouver Island on Monday, the CBC has reported.
The farmers were wrapping up their workday not far from Quatsino, British Columbia, when they saw that the large bird of prey had become prey itself, according to the CBC. An octopus was attempting to drown the American icon, while the eagle was fighting desperately to stay above water.
